Hale - Byrnes House (circa 1750) 606 Stanton-Christiana Road, Newark, DE 19713, 302-998-3792, A very historic site where a meeting between General George Washington and his staff after the Battle of Cooch's Bridge in Delaware and before the Battle of Brandywine in Pennsylvania. Tour are availale on the first Wednesday of each month 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. or by appointment.
Historic Sites & Monuments
Cooch's Bridge Deleware Route 4, Newark, DE 19713, east of Deleware Route 896, Scene of Battle of Cooch's Bridge, September 3, 1777 the only Revolutionary War battle fought in Delaware. Tradition tells that the new 13 flag, the Stars and Stripes, was unfurled in this battle.

There are 24 high tech, interactive exhibits illustrating how the heart and cardiovascular system work. Open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
